Hydraulic Torque Wrench
Supply, Hire & Service
Hydraulic torque wrenches, bolt tensioners, torque pump sets and controlled bolting systems from Enerpac and Norbar — supplied, hired, calibrated and serviced by AD Automation from Keysborough VIC.
Precision bolting for critical applications.
AD Automation is an Authorised Enerpac Distributor and Service Centre, supplying and servicing the complete Enerpac range of hydraulic torque wrenches, bolt tensioners and controlled bolting systems. We also supply Norbar precision torque tools for applications requiring documented, calibrated torque delivery.
Hydraulic torque wrenches deliver consistent, repeatable torque on large fasteners where conventional tools are impractical — critical in flange bolting, structural steel, pressure vessel assembly and infrastructure applications where bolt load accuracy matters.
Our team can advise on tool selection, reaction arm configuration, torque settings and complete bolting procedures for your specific application.

Bolting & Torque Tool FAQs
What is a hydraulic torque wrench and when do I need one?
A hydraulic torque wrench uses hydraulic pressure to apply precise, repeatable torque to large fasteners — typically used on bolts from 1" to 4" and above where conventional torque wrenches can't reach the required torque values. They are used in flange bolting, structural connections, pressure vessels and heavy machinery assembly where bolt load accuracy is safety-critical.
What is the difference between a torque wrench and a bolt tensioner?
A hydraulic torque wrench applies torque (rotational force) to turn a nut — bolt load is an indirect result. A bolt tensioner directly stretches the bolt to a precise load (tension), then the nut is run down to maintain that load. Tensioners are typically used where precise bolt load is critical and simultaneous multi-bolt tensioning is required.
Do you offer torque tool calibration services?
Yes. We provide calibration services for Enerpac and Norbar torque tools. Norbar calibration can be provided with NATA-traceable calibration certificates. Contact us on (03) 9798 7522 or email sales@adautomation.com.au to book calibration.
Can I hire hydraulic torque wrenches from AD Automation?
Yes. We maintain a hire fleet of Enerpac hydraulic torque wrenches, reaction arms, drive socket sets and torque pump sets — available for short and long-term hire. Our team can help you select the correct wrench size, reaction arm and pump for your application. Contact us on (03) 9798 7522 to check availability.
